Boating on the Canal du Midi

From Sète to Toulouse via Carcassonne, the Canal du Midi offers lots of wonderful places to stop off at all along its course. The Occitania / South of France section of the Canal runs through the Mediterranean landscapes of the Lauragais south of Toulouse. Steep hillsides, fields of bright sunflowers and rape, tall cypresses and umbrella pines, fine town houses and Gothic bell towers, all typical of the Midi Toulousain region, form the backdrop of this tranquil green ribbon.

Get on board a luxurious barge and glide along the water for a few days to forget it all. Relaxing atmosphere guaranteed along this 3-century-old-UNESCO listed site.
