THE GREAT CHRISTMAS TREE AND WINDOWS DISPLAY
The talented teams from Galeries Lafayette and Bournillat have produced a series of stunning animated window displays along Boulevard Haussmann to tell the thrilling tale of Nordmann, a Christmas tree from the planet Elato, and his trip to Earth at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann. Each of the 11 displays shows one of the stages in Nordmann’s adventures: from the spruce-up at Chris’cuts before leaving, to the journey to Earth in a magic spaceship, and a visit to the Noël Club. For both the young and the young at heart, the displays offer a captivating tour of a magical, cosmic universe.
CHRISTMAS STORY
Eighty years after partnering with Colette, Galeries Lafayette writes a new chapter in its history and reconnects with the literary world by asking French author Claire Castillon to pen an original Christmas fairy tale: Planet Christmas. Illustrated by Florent Chavouet, Planet Christmas tells the story of Nordmann, a Christmas tree from the planet Elato, who’s sent to Earth to save Christmas for a little girl called Annie.
A DREAMLIKE ODYSSEY WITH THE KING OF THE FOREST!
Galeries Lafayette pays tribute to the most important symbol of Christmas – the king of the forest – through a unique immersive experience. Planet Christmas comes to life in the Opéra Salon on the fourth floor of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann. Stepping into a timeless realm created with advanced technology and visual poetry, visitors can watch the adventures of Nordmann and Annie on interactive screens that evolve as they move along. A journey through a magical world of images and lights, culminating in a place of unique spatial design. All the senses are engaged through a vibrant ambience of sound and vision inspired by the work of illustrator Florent Chavouet and novelist Claire Castillon. An expedition that will captivate young and old alike.
This experience is available from 17 November to 23 December in the Opéra Salon on the fourth floor of the main store of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann. Visitors are required to sign up in advance.
