Ready for a concert in your living room?

If you can't come to the music, let the music come to you! This is the Philharmonie de Paris' philosophy: the Parisian institution has decided to extend its online content offer, by broadcasting concerts free of charge on its website. And it's not the only one! Press "Play" to watch the French concert of your choice, coiled up in your living room or bedroom. (Note: times are in French)

The Philharmonie de Paris

Located in the Parc de la Villette, the Philharmonie de Paris organises nearly 500 concerts a year, ranging from symphonies and baroque music to global genres, jazz and pop-rock.

Since mid-March, the Philharmonie has been broadcasting a free concert from its archives every evening at 8:30 pm, playable for 24 hours after premiering. All the concerts of the "Jazz à la villette" festival are also accessible, as well as a selection of "takeaway concerts". More than 900 performances have been made available in total. This is a real gold mine for music fans!

Note that there is a version dedicated to children, offering a concert for young audiences once a week.

The Paris Opera

Since March 17, the Paris Opera, in partnership with Culturebox, has been putting a show from its archives online for free every Monday at 7.30 pm, after which it will be available for six days. • From 18 to 24 May: The Opera, documentary by Jean-Stéphane Bron (2017)
  • From 25 to 31 May: Boris Godounov (2018)

Other resources also remain available for a longer period of time:

  • Until May 21: Cinderella
  • Until August 5: Giselle
  • Until October 9: Les Indes Galantes
  • Until October 24: Body and Soul
  • From 9 May to 8 November: La Traviata

Nova Radio

If you're missing teufs d'appart ("house parties"), you can still join every weekend on Radio Nova! Party rules: "don't spill anything on the couch, have a good soundsystem, let the neighbors enjoy it and don't forget to bring ice"! Every Friday, starting at 8pm and every Saturday, starting at 9pm, Nova brings together sets of international DJs playing from their apartments!

For the past month, the concept has been a great success and is at the forefront of listening on podcast platforms.

Among the artists already invited are Yuksek, Cut Killer, Justin Strauss, DJ Pone, Moonshine, Marina Trench, Pedro Winter and Breakbot. On Saturday, May 9, the party also gave carte blanche to the bartender Laurent Garnier. Get the party started from home!

ARTE concert and Sourdoreille

The two institutions have joined forces around the concept of "Home Concerts". Every day, Monday to Friday, starting at 4 pm the Sourdoreille facebook pages highlights an artist live from their home on their Facebook page! The live is followed by a Q&A discussion. Izia, Camélia Jordana, Selah Sue, Demi-Portion, Rodrigo y Gabriela and even Yaël Naïm have already lent themselves to the game!

The performers vary through different musical genres, ranging from rock to jazz through electro and classical music.

Find the sessions on Facebook, in the "Concerts at home" tab in the "Videos" section or as a best-of on the Arte Concert website!
