Petit Mousse, French touch jewellery in Sydney

Petit Mousse, meaning ‘Little sailor’ in English, recently launched in Sydney. The brand’s name was inspired by the founder’s memories of sailing with her parents in the Golfe du Morbihan, in picturesque Brittany.

The brand,Dedicated to kids and women jewellery, as well as accessories for kids, was born in the middle of the pandemic, when entrepreneur Anne-Sophie Le Bourdonnec decided that it was the right time to launch her own business.

After graduating from Esmod International in 2004, she was meant to be a fashion designer but fate had something else in mind for her. Indeed, she spent the past 15 years in the buying industry, working with well-known French high street retailers such as Etam, Naf Naf, Lollipops…, travelling around the globe from China to Los Angeles, sourcing, buying and delivering jewellery collections all along the seasons.

She relocated 2 years ago with her family in Clovelly and started to work on her project in June 2021, when she felt the need to develop her creativity in relation with her past expertise. A few months later in August 2021, ‘Petit Mousse’ was born.

Personalisation

The brand offers a great and affordable range of jewellery. Dainty, colourful, playful, Anne-Sophie brings her ‘French touch’ to her collections with unique, original and chic designs. Everything is hand made in her studio in Clovelly, New South Wales.

What we love is the personalisation tool on bracelets and necklaces where you can bring your personal input, it is ideal for gifts especially with Valentine’s day being round the corner.

Jewellery for women and for kids

Mum of 2 young girls, not only did she want to create jewellery for women, but also for kids, because she felt that there is an untapped business in the children market in Australia.
‘I wanted to create a fun and delicate jewellery for kids, playing around with quality beads and materials such a sterling silver and gold filled. I love the result and my daughters too!”

Anne-Sophie is planning on developing a mother/daughter collection soon.

“The inspiration here just flows, I am happy to live by the ocean, it's my number one source of regeneration and creation. It takes me back to my childhood when I was sailing with my parents”
