  • Line a pie dish witha puff pastry crust
  • (To prevent the crustfrom rising while baking, prick it all over with a fork)
  • Sprinkle lardons overthe pie crust
  • Whisk 3 or 4 eggs, add some cream, salt and pepperthen pour the mixture over the lardons
  • Sprinkle a little bit of grated gruyere or even better,grated comté (do not use too much salt because the lardons and the gruyere arealready salty)
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes at 200/220 °C (400°F)
