On 11th July 2012, U.N.E.S.C.O registered the Dordogne Basin as a World Biosphere Reserve. A UNESCO label for the Dordogne valley, France’s largest World Biosphere Reserve : 24.000 square kilometres. There are 621 Biosphere Reserves throughout the world.
From Bort-les-Orgues to Argentat, this Correzian itinerary for ramblers, mountain-bikers and trail-runners is 150 kilometres long and has a 4.800 metre positive slope, with exceptional and breathtaking landscapes overlooking the river Dordogne.
