Practical information

Officially, a license is obligatory to play on any French course. If you are just an occasional visitor, there is no need to do anything, but you should make sure your travel (or golf) insurance policy covers you for accidents abroad. Joining a golf club can be as simple as turning up at the club's reception desk and paying the green-fee.

Depending on the golf club, some charges may apply:

  • The subscription (abonnement) entitles a player to play the course for a year.
  • Club membership (cotisation)
  • Handicap certificate (licence) for players wanting to take part in competition.
