France will host the Alpine World Ski Championships from 6 to 19 February 2023 in the famous resorts of Méribel and Courchevel. In the heart of the 3 Valleys ski area in the French Alps, the world's greatest skiers will have a playground to match their talent. It's an opportunity to experience the excitement of a world competition in an exceptional setting, or to get a taste of the atmosphere well in advance!
Méribel and Courchevel will host the Alpine World Ski Championships in 2023. The two most famous resorts in the world have won the favour of the International Ski Federation Council over Austria and the resort of Saalbach Hinterglemm.
The event promises a great moment of sport, emotion and festivities in the heart of two Olympic resorts used to major international competitions.
600 km of marked runs, 166 ski lifts, 35,000 hectares of nature
In addition to their know-how in terms of high-level hospitality, Méribel and Courchevel have an exceptional ski area in the heart of the world-famous 3 Valleys. More than the figures that speak for themselves (600 km of marked runs, 166 ski lifts and 35,000 hectares of nature), the two star resorts offer a real village life between authentic chalets to experience the art of living of the French Alps and Savoie.
They are also prestigious resorts, well known to mountain lovers who come from all over the world in winter and summer to enjoy breathtaking views and unique experiences. Courchevel is home to three establishments with the Palace distinction: the Cheval Blanc, the Airelles and the K2.
Family-friendly and festive (the nights can be as active as the days!), the two resorts will prove once again, on the occasion of the 2023 Alpine World Ski Championships, that they also offer the most athletic people the best conditions for their exploits. No need to wait until 2023 to come and play the champions in preview...
