Also so-named due to the significant number of pre-historic grottos and sites, the Vézère Valley is globally famous for the famous decorated grotto of Lascaux, although there are significantly more treasures in this area which are also worth a visit.

Lascaux IV and the Montignac-Lascaux International Centre for Parietal Art (CIAP, photo above) opened to the public on 15 December. This incredible reconstruction offers an immersive visit where the atmosphere of the original cave has been recreated.
