The benefits of vines and grapes

  • The Original

Les Sources de Caudalie Spa. It was on the Château Smith Haut Lafitte estate, in the Graves "Great Wine" appellation, that the Caudalie cosmetic brand, which harnesses vine and grape extracts, was born. A first in France, the Caudalie Vino-therapy®Spa opened in 1999, and brought together the natural hot springs collected 540m under ground, with vine and grape extracts. This 150m2 spa area offers exclusive treatments like the famous Crushed Cabernet Scrub, the Gironde Honey and Wine Yeast Wrap, the Barrel Bath or the Wine-Maker’s Massage. Since then, another Caudalie Vino-therapy® Spa has opened in France, between the ponds and the forest of Avray, 5 minutes from Versailles, and 20 minutes from Paris.

  • Grape treatment in Moissac, in the South West

In the Grand Site of the town of Moissac, in the Midi-Pyrenees region, stay in a B&B in a former fruit farm and try the Chasselas grape-based personalised treatments. The white grape, which has played a role in Moissac’s history since the beginning of 18th century, was the first fresh fruit to receive the Protected Designation of Origin, in 1971. A dietary initiation will help you to experience the benefits of the Cure Uvale (from the Latin uva, meaning grape – the treatment harnesses the special properties of the grape) which became famous in the 30s. Apart from the grape pulp treatments, you can visit a Chasselas production site, and don’t forget to drop into the Moissac Abbey, listed as a Unesco World Heritage
