Mediterranean Banquets - MP2013
Discover seven culinary traditions reflecting Mediterranean lifestyles -on the slopes of Garlaban, the shores of a lake, the quays of a port, the bank of the Rhône or in the city centre.
At each banquet, 500 guests will savour a meal prepared by the region's top chefs inckuding Armand Arnal (Arles), Sébastien Richard (Istres), Francis Robin (Salon), Fabien Morreale (Martigues) and Marc Veyrat (Aubagne).
Each meal will revolve around a central Mediterranean recipe and product. Discover regional producers, local artisans and colourful stands with juices, water, wine and olive oil. Associations and cooks await with an array of savoury and sweet appetisers, recipes from here and elsewhere.
Mediterranean Banquets is also about the full Mediterranean experience: taking a siesta under the plane trees, walks under the starry night sky, and listening to fado music for a perfect end to a perfect nignt.
