Exhibition "Mediterraneans" - MP2013
From Yesterday’s Cities to Today’s Men
In January, the J1 hangar—a landmark of the Capital—will inaugurate its vast expanse that opens onto the sea with a gigantic «fictional exhibition», with a modern Ulysses as guide. The exhibition includes more than 170 works of art spanning the treasures of the Mediterranean heritage as well as contemporary creations and audio-visual installations.
Ulysses takes visitors on an incredible journey through time, from the era of the Trojan wars to the twentyfirst century, following an 11-stage itinerary that stops in 11 legendary ports including Athens, Alexandria, Venice, Istanbul and Marseille.
A series of events showcasing Mediterranean cultural diversity have been organised alongside the exhibition (including films, short films, music, singing, performances, story-telling and readings).
