The Metz Christmas market is definitely not to be missed! It is one of the most exciting end-of-year shopping experiences! The whole town is taken over by traditional wooden chalets. In the place Saint Louis, you can pick up some traditional produce, or visit Father Christmas in the place du Forum and even see some local handicrafts on the Esplanade! Metz has been renowned for its Christmas markets for over fifteen years, and is one of the most successful in Eastern France! Don’t miss out on all the excitement on offer!
28 november to 27 December
Between the station and the commercial quarter of St Sébastian and not too far from the place Charles III, a multitude of wooden chalets bring the village to life. With a varied choice of gifts, jewellery and artisanal treasure as well as the obligatory mulled wine, ginger bread and sweets; there is something for everyone!
28 November 28 to 24 December
The Christmas Village brings together over 40 stalls across the three town squares; visitors will have their spirits lifted by the welcoming atmosphere and can warm up with mulled wine and home-made shortbread! There is plenty of fun to be had for children too, why not try your skills at the open-air ice rink?
30 November to 2 December
Every Friday from 4-6pm, Saturdays from 10am-8pm and Sundays from 10am till 5pm; the Saint-Nicolas Market will be held in place Reggio in the town centre. Browse the array of artisanal produce on offer, and even pick up a last minute gift from the selection of festive and regional merchandise. Let your senses be overwhelmed by the delicious smells of freshly made ginger bread...

This famous yet authentic Christmas market, which takes place every weekend in December, attracts over 80000 visitors. With something different happening every weekend, you’ll want to be a part of it!

The Place du Marché is magically transformed and hosts over 45 wooden chalets during the Christmas period. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through market, sampling the delicious treats on over. Take in the sensual smells of mulled wine and gauffres, and of course don’t forget the roasted chestnuts! The whole town will be decorated in all its dreamlike splendour, the festive and warm ambiance will enchant and captivate you!

The Christmas market is held on the place de l’église, in one of the most picturesque towns of France.
8 & 9 December
Set at the foot of the basilica in the centre, come and indulge in all wealth of festivities on offer! Don’t leave until you have tried some delicious local produce from one of the many artisans!

Now in its twelve year, the Gérardmer Christmas Village will take place on the Place du Vieux Gérardmé. There will be local artisans and over twenty five wooden chalets, recreating a beautifully picturesque village, with plenty of entertainment for all!
