Christmas Markets in and around Amiens
From 20 November to 30 December 2015
Amiens hosts the largest Christmas Market in northern France, offering a delightful opportunity for visitors to stroll its streets to the sound of bells and Christmas carols.
Amiens’s “Parfums d’hiver” (Scents of Winter) Christmas market has taken a different theme every year since 1998. This year, it is the magic of Christmas which takes centre stage, with a focus on Father Christmas and his white beard, his elfin helpers and their thousands of presents, and the beautifully illuminated Christmas trees.
Once again this year, 135 stalls will extend from Rue de Noyon via Rue Dusevel as far as the City Hall, leading to the cathedral and the “Amiens, la cathédrale en couleurs” light show.
From 4 December to 31 December 2015
Beauvais’s Christmas market (Place Jeanne Hachette) will offer plenty of entertainment throughout the month of December, with an ice rink, Father Christmas’s hut, Father Christmas parade, itinerant shows and a whole host of other activities.
